The Awakened Healer Workshop is designed to help you awaken and develop your inner capacity to allow the healing power of the Divine Spirit to flow through your life. We use simple techniques and meditations to awaken awareness of the action of the Divine as it heals our own body, heart, and soul. As you become aware of the action of these spiritual practices within yourself, you will find that you also begin to allow space to be a healing presence for others.
Devi Tide, the head of the Sufi Healing Order in North America, has over 30 years of experience as a healer, retreat guide, and teacher of spiritual healing practices and meditation. In addition to degrees in psychology and counseling, she has received training in massage therapy and polarity therapy. For 30 years she studied closely with Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, late head of the Sufi Order International, and an internationally renowned meditation master and spiritual healer. For 15 years she also studied closely with Dr. Himayat Inayati, former head of the Sufi Healing Order. Devi has led healing retreats and seminars all over the world and speaks internationally on healing.
Workshop participants can expect to acquire a variety of techniques that will support self-care and personal growth as well as valuable adjuncts to healing. Through the use of sound, music, humor, and meditative practices of the ancient Sufi tradition, Devi will introduce workshop participants to a transformational process that awakens and deepens the qualities of intuition, insight, and inspiration, eliciting a deeper experience of the power of the Divine Spirit to heal. Areas to be explored will be:
- the stages of the development of a healer
- the development of a healing presence
- compassionate communication
- specific methods for cultivating balance, rhythm, and the art of repose
