Sufi Order International events ~
Monthly Sufi Order International classes
Sunday, March 30, 2008, at 2:00 pm (Note the date change - no class on April 6)
Sunday, May 4, 2008, at 2:00 pm
Sunday, June 1, 2008, at 2:00 pm
These ongoing classes are based primarily on the teachings of Pir-O-Murshid Inayat Khan as recorded in the esoteric papers. Pir Zia appointed a curriculum committee a few years ago, and the work of this committee has included a careful analysis of the Gatha and Githa papers, summarizing each paper and examining the thirty papers in a series for the suggestion of a developmental process. These summaries and suggestions are now available, and will be utilized in the development of the classes offered in Atlanta. The practice of Dikr (Remembrance) will also be included at the end of each class.
Classes are led by Sufi Order Representative Shekinah Cynthia Daniel,
in her family's home: 2159 Superior Place, Decatur, GA 30033
These monthly classes are open to all, and do not require an ongoing commitment, but regular attendance will benefit the process for all. Please call or email for more information, and/or directions: 678-768-9512 or cynthia@heartandwings.com

The Dances of Universal Peace are simple, meditative, joyous, multi-cultural circle dances that use sacred phrases, chants, music, and movements from the many traditions of the earth to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and others. Based on the work begun in the late 60’s by Samuel L. Lewis, they promote peace and integration within individuals and groups worldwide. There are no performers nor audience – new arrivals and old hands form the circle together. And, no prior experience is necessary!

Pir Zia's Visit to Baroda, India:
When Pir Zia returned from India in March 2005 he spoke in a Sunday class at The Abode about his experience of pageantry in Baroda. He was inspired by the combination of sacred religious ceremony, community creativity and involvement, the gaiety and excitement of the event, and its cultural richness. That talk is ready for you to download or listen to on your computer. Please go to this link: http://mail.sufiorder.org/~pirtalks/BarodaVisit.html
This is not a private link. Please feel free to share this with anyone you think might be interested. This is a downloadable audio file (37 minutes and 22 seconds long) in mp3 format.
Pir Zia's practices and teachings can be found online:
